Terms and Conditions



On-site Milling Services;

 

1.        The rate quoted is per day or part thereof and includes fuel for the day and cutting blades/chains.

 

2.        Any saw bands damaged by metal found in the timber whilst being milled will be charged for @ £45 per

           band for bandsaw mill and £80 per chain for chainsaw mill.

 

3.        All timber to be milled should be placed prior to our arrival in the area close to where the mill will

           be set up ( this applies to bandsaw mills).

 

4.        Area where the mill is to be set up should be level (within reason) and solid ground. Not a muddy

           field/grassed area (this refers to the bandsaw mill only) and NOT on a public highway.

 

5.        An area close to the mill should be set aside where milled timber can be placed.

 

6.        It is the responsibility of the customer to provide a suitable machine with competent operator for

           loading of timber to be milled (this refers to the bandsaw mill only).

           We carry loading straps.

 

7.        Under no circumstances are logs to be loading onto the mill unless our operator is present.

 

8.        No other person other then our operator will be allowed to use the machine.

 

9.        All persons working in the vicinity of the bandsaw mill must wear appropriate PPE. It is appreciated but

           not expected to have someone available to unload milled timber, however if no one is available to do this

           the amount milled in a day will be greatly reduced.

 

10.      We take no responsibility for the quality of the timber once milled, stacking and seasoning of the

           timber is the sole responsibility of the customer.

 

11.      Our mill operator’s decision to mill or NOT to mill timber is final.

 

12.      We are not responsible for the removal/disposal of sawdust produced in the milling process.

 

13.      We do not operate the mill in severe weather conditions such as strong winds/heavy rain, a weather

           report will be accessed on the morning of the day of milling, if it is deemed to be unsuitable we reserve

           the right to cancel.

 

14.      Unless prior agreement has been made payment for our milling services will be due on the day of milling,

           payment can be made either in CASH or via bank transfer, card payments are accepted via a wireless machine

           providing a signal is available, (a handling fee of 2% of the total invoice value is added for this service).

           Invoices are strictly payment on presentation.

 

15.      A copy of our risk assessment and insurance are available on request.

 

16.      By booking our services you undertake to agree to these terms and conditions.
